Magnetic is celebrating its 10th year in business, making it one of the only full-service Web development firms in the Tampa Bay region to reach this significant milestone. Unlike others that spun out of other ventures or that added Web development to their service offerings after their founding, Magnetic is and has always been focused entirely on Web design and development.

The Magnetic Team
CEO Ken Bakunas and his father, Darius, founded the company in 1997 and were joined by company president (and Ken's wife), Jennifer Bakunas, in 2000. Over the years, Magnetic has grown steadily, including doubling in size in 2006 – a figure the company is on track to double yet again this year.
Ken and Jennifer have focused on building an optimal organizational culture in which the employees are entrusted with sales and fostering customer relationships. This allows the management team to focus on creating an environment of trust and respect for both their employees and clients.
Magnetic's commitment to its employees and the overall company culture earned the company two "Best Place to Work" awards from the Tampa Bay Business Journal, a recognition that highlights Ken and Jennifer's dedication to cultivating a rewarding work environment for their team. Since Magnetic does not outsource any work, a happy team is vital to the continuous search for the most talented design and development professionals in the region.
In addition, Jennifer won the prestigious 2006 Young BusinessWoman of the Year Award, given by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, and Magnetic was also named a Finalist for the 2006 Tampa Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award.
