Jennifer Bakunas

President & CEO

As President & CEO of Magnetic, Jennifer leads all key operations of the organization and directs the management team. Jennifer is the driving force behind all of Magnetic’s key initiatives. Through a commitment to quality and innovation, Jennifer has led Magnetic to be awarded several recognitions in the web industry as well as in the community. Magnetic’s awards include the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America, the Web Marketing Association's Standard of Excellence WebAward and many more. Jennifer is most proud of the corporate culture she has fostered at Magnetic which has earned the company 5 consecutive years of being awarded the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Best Places to Work recognition.

Jennifer began her career as a web designer and technical writer for Walt Disney World and IBM. She went on to work for Kobie Marketing who, under her initiative, developed websites for companies such as CBS SportsLine, Barnes & Noble and Cellular One.  With these experiences, Jennifer came to Magnetic with an understanding of how different industries need different solutions for communicating with customers and internally across teams. Her insight into business solutions has enabled her to lead Magnetic to be on the forefront of technology while offering clients robust and practical tools to grow their business.

Outside of her leadership role at Magnetic, Jennifer is active in technology and community related programs. Jennifer’s community roles have included Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Tampa YMCA, Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and numerous leadership roles in groups such as the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Jennifer’s dedication to Magnetic, technology and the community earned her the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Young BusinessWoman of the Year award. She is also a 2010 graduate of Leadership Tampa.

Jennifer received a B.A. in Technical Writing from the University of Central Florida.

Ken Bakunas

Chief Technology Officer

Ken founded Magnetic in 1997 after identifying the need to help businesses leverage their Internet presence more effectively through better design, e-commerce, and search engine optimization. As Magnetic's CTO, Ken is responsible for overseeing the company’s technical operations and ensuring constant technical innovation and improvement for Magnetic’s customers. He is also responsible for helping to create Magnetic’s unique corporate culture, resulting in 5 consecutive years of being awarded the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Best Places to Work recognition.

Prior to Magnetic, Ken worked as lead Web Architect and a technical consultant for clients including IBM, AT&T and Verizon. At IBM, he was the Webmaster and principal technical architect in the creation of IBM.net. Ken also developed websites and web database solutions for many high-profile clients, including AT&T and PriceAutoOutlet.com / CarFinance.com (in 1996 when no one even thought about buying a car on the Internet!). He used his experiences in web marketing, partnerships, and site creation to develop many popular sites during the initial Internet boom, such as Baseball.com and Humor.com. Ken has more than 20 years of professional development experience with computer systems, programming languages, and database design across a variety of platforms.

In 2007, Ken founded the Tampa Bay Chapter of First Book, a national organization that provides new books to children in need to promote childhood literacy. He currently oversees the First Book Board of Directors and local fundraising efforts. Ken is also an active volunteer at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, serving in several leadership roles.

Ken received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of South Florida.

John Galarneau

Chief Operating Officer

As Magnetic's COO, John is responsible for leading the development, operation and improvement of the systems that deliver Magnetic’s products and services. John ensures that Magnetic’s business operations are efficient and effective and focuses on proper management of resources. He is involved in the recruitment, coaching and performance of our employees.

John collaborates with our President & CEO on Magnetic’s budgeting, structure, current operations and the execution of the company's strategic plans. He is responsible for delivery of results and is involved in the day-to-day business operations that include production, delivery and business development. John ensures that optimal operating procedures are implemented throughout the company, implements the business plan with the best results possible and pursues all opportunities to maximize the company's results.

John brings to Magnetic a vast range of senior management experience and a strong knowledge of Internet technology. He has been in the web development industry for over 15 years. His roles have ranged from Interactive Designer, Production Manager, Design Director, Creative Director and Vice President of Client Services. John has successfully managed and handled the production cycle and design process for many large-scale projects, including Fortune 500 clients.

Sabrina Herring

Director of Administration

During a career immersed in technology industries, Sabrina has acquired diverse functional expertise in both service and product-based businesses. As Director of Administration for Magnetic, Sabrina is responsible for overseeing the financial, human resources, and back-office infrastructure and operations of the company. Her role includes collaboration with the senior management team in strategic business planning and implementation.

Prior to joining the Magnetic team, Sabrina provided business consulting to a suite of clients ranging from sole proprietorships to multiple-entity structured service and inventory-based organizations. Her consulting services included accounting, financial analysis, operational and organizational development. Sabrina has also served as Director of Operations, and later Vice President, of a telephone manufacturing and distribution company. Sabrina was responsible for oversight of the off-shore manufacturing process, North American distribution, sales and internal operations for the company.

Sabrina's career began in the technology training industry shortly after its emergence as a recognized business necessity through the industry's most profitable years. During her time in the technology training industry Sabrina gained experience in sales, project management and training and worked with clients such as Publix, Franklin Templeton, Raymond James and TECO.

With a diverse background spanning most functional business areas, Sabrina brings a unique knowledge base as well as dedication to maximizing organizational efficiency and empowering others to succeed. 
 

Heather Andrews

Director of Marketing and Client Services

As Magnetic’s Director of Marketing and Client Services, Heather Andrews oversees client relations and direct marketing operations. This role includes developing and executing marketing strategies for Magnetic’s clients, as well as internal marketing and public relations responsibilities. Heather focuses on building the Internet presence of Magnetic and its clients while ensuring a consistent, positive experience for all who work with Magnetic. Heather’s extensive experience with web-based businesses has given her excellent insight into building user-friendly websites, reaching new markets and increasing revenue for clients. With a strong background in website analytics, search engine optimization and website usability, Heather uses a data-driven approach to maximize revenue generated by web content, Pay Per Click advertising, and email marketing campaigns. Heather’s expertise in both B2B and B2C markets enables her to create a dynamic and invaluable web presence for every client.

Prior to working at Magnetic, Heather earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing Information Systems. She honed her Internet marketing skills at a start-up t-shirt company, which rapidly grew to become a leading Internet-based custom apparel business.

Dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, Heather consistently stays at the forefront of her industry. Heather has earned a certification as a Google AdWords and Google Analytics Qualified Individual. Heather also contributes to the community as an expert in her field through public speaking engagements and volunteer marketing groups. Heather proudly volunteers on the Marketing Committee for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and is active in the American Marketing Association.
