Magnetic Named #1 Personalization Technology Provider to Internet Retailer’s Top 1000
Magnetic Tops a Category that is a #1 Priority for Marketers
NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2016 — Marketing Technology company Magnetic, has been named the #1 company in personalization services to the IR Top 1000 in the U.S. for the eighth year in a row. The list ranks and analyzes the top e-commerce technology providers that service America’s top 1,000 e-retailers. Magnetic also ranked in the top 10 providers for online advertising and email marketing. Being named among the top 10 in each of these categories is a testament to Magnetic’s ability to deliver results through its diversified product suite, spanning online advertising, email and site channels.
“We are honored to be recognized as the #1 technology solution in a category that is a #1 priority for marketers,” said Sandeep Swadia, COO of Magnetic. “Marketers are frustrated with disconnected point solutions. By providing a single and comprehensive source of deep audience data, Magnetic helps marketers deliver personalized offers to their customers across all devices, channels, and buying stages. It is great for the marketer and great for the consumer.”
A study by Magnetic and Retail TouchPoints found that the most important element of the shopping journey is making sure the online experience is easy—and relevant. Of consumers surveyed, 81% said they want to find what they’re looking for, see product reviews and recommendations, and ultimately buy the product when and how they want.
Similarly, for retailers, personalization also ranks high in terms of its importance – 94% of senior-level executives believe personalization is critical or important to reaching customers according to a study from PWC’s Digital Services group; and two-thirds of all marketers in an Experian study reported that connecting data and channels in real time ranked as their #1 priority.
Magnetic’s technology platform enables marketers to better connect with people by creating a single, comprehensive view of their purchase journey across devices, channels, and buying stages. For more information about Magnetic and recognition in the IR 1000, visit their blog.

About the Internet Retailer Top 1000
The Internet Retailer “2017 Leading Vendors to the Top 1000” reveals the leading e-commerce vendors that are driving sales for the largest and fastest-growing online retailers. This research guide comprehensively ranks the Top Vendors in each of 30 e-commerce technology and service categories – from affiliate marketing to website testing/optimization – by their clients among the Top 1000 e-retailers in North America.
The Leading Vendors to the Top 1000 ranks the e-commerce technology and service vendors that the Top 1000 e-retailers rely on the most. To determine each vendor’s ranking, Internet Retailer compiled a list of clients each vendor serves among the retailers ranked in the 2016 and 2015 Top 500 and Second 500 guides (collectively the Top 1000) and totaled the number of clients served across the 30 technology and service categories they track. Internet Retailer identifies merchants’ technology providers by confirming them directly with retailers, through a third-party data source or via the vendor.
Top 500/Second 500 Guides: Researchers contacted hundreds of retailers over a five-month period. Data gathering began with data from last year’s Top 500 Guide, combined with rankings of retailers’ web traffic from comScore Inc. and Millward Brown Digital. That list was supplemented with retailers that Internet Retailer has covered editorially or otherwise identified as leaders in e-commerce. Rankings are based on 2015 web sales.
