Magnetic Launches New Web Site for Industry Leading Manufacturing Company, Gardner-Gibson

(Tampa, FL - March, 21 2006) - Magnetic, a Tampa Web Development firm, today announced the launch of the newly redesigned Gardner-Gibson Web site. A recognized leader in the specialty coatings industry for more than 60 years, Gardner-Gibson is a full line manufacturer of roof coatings, waterproofing coatings, pavement sealers, caulks, wall repair patching and wallpaper adhesives.

The Web site, located at www.gardner-gibson.com, features Troubleshooting Tips/Frequently Asked Questions and printable PDF files for Project How-To Advice. The user-friendly navigation and new content management system provide consumers, commercial contractors, distributors, and resellers with up-to-date information on all Gardner-Gibson products and applications, along with MSDS and Data Sheets.

"Our biggest challenge is that consumers, retailers and even some of our professional users have questions about when or how to use our products, what to do in certain situations, how much to buy, or where they can buy them," said Gordon Blickle, Director of Marketing for Gardner-Gibson. "Magnetic helped us create a better Web site that makes it easy to get those answers, and that's a win-win for us, our retail partners, and most importantly our customers," Blickle added. New Features Include:
  • RICH PRODUCT INFORMATION. For every product, customers can go directly to a printable Data Sheet and MSDS Sheet for that particular product, and then How To instructions, and Frequently Asked Questions. Plus, every product now has key bullet points, a descriptive paragraph, and a photo showing the product in use.

  • SOMETHING NEW EVERY TIME. Over a dozen Featured Products are rotated through the home page, giving the site a fresh look. Plus Gardner brands are constantly moving in a Flash animation at the top of the screen.

  • RESTRUCTURED WHERE TO BUY SECTION. Customers can choose a brand or product type and receive a short list of the resellers who carry that particular product. In addition, customers can click on Store Finder to find the nearest retail outlet.

  • HOW MUCH TO BUY. A new Coverage Calculator helps customers determine how much product is needed for the job.

  • RECOMMENDATIONS. Every product page also references a "better" choice and also recommends two other products that customers may need for their project.

  • GRAPHICS AND LITERATURE. The site now includes logos, can cuts, and printable copies of Gardner's most popular sales literature in PDF format.

  • PROJECT HOW TO. This section provides text and color illustrations that customers can print and take to a jobsite for quick reference.

  • ABOUT GARDNER. This section provides information about the company, how to contact Gardner, the company's community involvement, how to apply for a job at Gardner, and much more.

  • PRODUCT CATEGORIES. This organization of content helps the customer, who is not quite sure what to buy, take a quick glance at all the available categories and make informed decisions.

  • SITE MAP. This feature gives users a quick way to navigate the entire site.
Organized into four main product categories: Caulks & Sealants; Driveway/Patio/Paver; Roof & Foundation; and Stucco/Masonry Repair, the site contains hundreds of ideas and answers for homeowners and contractors. There are improved Product Finder and Where to Buy features that allow customers to select a particular product and quickly locate the nearest retailer.

In addition, the new Web site offers a secure login section for Gardner-Gibson sales representatives to update profiles and view past orders and requests. The site also delivers easily accessible promotional materials to the sales force, in-store staff, and other third-party support staff.
