Magnetic Presenting Sponsor at Passport to Paradise 2005: The New Tampa YMCA's Inaugural Fundraising Event on October 1
(Tampa, FL - September 28, 2005) - Magnetic, a Tampa Web Development company, today announced its participation as a presenting sponsor at the New Tampa Family YMCA's Passport to Paradise inaugural fundraising event on October 1, 2005. The money raised will go towards funding scholarships for the "We Build People" campaign, part of the YMCA's continuing mission to accept all children regardless of their financial circumstances.
"We are excited to have Magnetic as a sponsor at our inaugural fundraising event," said Liz Crowley, New Tampa Family YMCA Development Director. "In addition to helping us raise $20,000 in sponsorship money, Magnetic's participation on our planning committee helped us secure more than $30,000 in donated auction items."
Magnetic offers a discount on its Web development and hosting services for non-profit organizations. The company also donates its services free of charge to Hillsborough Kids, Joshua House, Everybody's Tabernacle Homeless Emergency Project, and The International Children's Ergonomics Foundation.
"The YMCA plays an important role for the children in our community," said Jennifer Bakunas, President of Magnetic and a New Tampa YMCA Board Member. "Supporting our local YMCA is a natural fit for our continued community involvement in child-related organizations."
Passport to Paradise will be held on October 1, 2005 at the YMCA in New Tampa. The evening includes dinner, dancing, and entertainment along with a combination of live and silent auctions. Tickets are $75 per person and space is limited.
