Magnetic Named Small Business of the Year by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce

TAMPA, Fla. - (Oct. 8, 2007) - Magnetic, a full-service Web development firm celebrating its 10th anniversary, has been named the 2007 Small Business of the Year in the 21-50 employee category by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
"To say we are thrilled with this recognition would be a understatement," said Magnetic CEO Ken Bakunas. "For the past decade, Magnetic has focused not only on growing as a firm, but also on advancing the overall growth and economic development of the Tampa Bay region. To have that commitment recognized by the Chamber is truly an honor."
Since 1981, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has been recognizing Hillsborough County's superior small businesses and their leaders through its annual Small Business of the Year Award. Organizations are judged on their financial success, community involvement and ethical business practices, with winners selected in three categories: five-20 employees; 21-50 employees and 51-250 employees. A fourth category is for outstanding leader.

The Small Business of the Year Award is the latest in a string of accolades for Magnetic. Earlier this year, the firm was named among the Tampa Bay Business Journal's "Best Places to Work," receiving the highest score of all categories for the second year in a row. Magnetic also earned its second Shopping Standard of Excellence WebAward from the Web Marketing Association, and the firm's president was named the 2006 Young BusinessWoman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
